I’m going to slightly paraphrase a comment I read recently: “Just a few things I’ve heard the last two months: 1. Give him a chance. 2. Maybe it won’t be that bad. 3. All politicians are horrible. 4. He’ll…

Obamacare vs. Affordable Care Act
Yeah….
There are plenty of videos showing how stupid liberal college kids are. Well, it’s your turn to look just as dumb.
Congrats to you fools. These are the people who voted in that idiot who is now president.
Good luck when the GOP gets rid of that Obamacare thing (and your beloved Affordable Care Act) at the same time!
You suckers!
How Journalists Can Get Access To Trump
I love this. I don’t think he understands the rules of engagement. Check this out. And excerpt from an article called, “An open letter to Trump from the US press corps” Access is preferable, but not critical. You may decide…
Marxism is the WORST
Every Marxist government in history has been a repressive nightmare. Marxists — aside from the ones who defend the remaining Marxist regimes — consider this a strange coincidence that has no bearing on Marxist ideology… Read this article: http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/2016/03/oh-good-were-arguing-whether-marxism-works.html
Denzel Washington On Fathers And Sons – Joy and Pain
Ummm yeah but…..
Joy is also passed down from father to son too. My father had a lot of joy and I certainly pass it on to my son (and daughter). My father was/is a MAN. He was there for me and my sisters and still is.
Some of you may know, my horrific divorce from my ex-wife, who still seems hell bent on trying to damage my relationship with our kids, couldn’t stop me from being the father I wanted to be. That whole process of “family” court made me into the man I am today. It made me stronger, more committed to my kids and more passionate for life in general.
There are times where I get sooooo angry with the commands to “be a man.”
Well dammit, maybe if the mother bias in the family court system could finally be destroyed forever, the archaic child support model could be updated to reflect 21st-century America, our prison system could stop making a profit from locking up so many low income/low resource men, the ability for men to provide proudly for our families could return, issues like men’s issue like suicide/depression/drug addiction and mental health issues could be properly supported….maybe then, we can be the men that son many of you want badly.
I love me some Denzel but I get tired of having so many things being ignored
Dictators
It’s truly amazing how many Americans and those who never lived under dictators LOVE the idea of them.
Americans love the “freedom” dictators bring but always overlook the atrocities and death dictators inevitably bring to those the people they rule over.
Good riddance to all dictators and the lies and destruction they leave in their wake.
There has never ever been a socialist/communist utopia.
Never…and there will never be one:
“Karl Marx was right, socialism works, it is just that he had the wrong species. Why doesn’t it work in humans? Because we have reproductive independence, and we get maximum Darwinian fitness by looking after our own survival and having our own offspring.”

Do Women Really Want Equality?
An excerpt from this article: https://medium.com/@NikitaCcoulombe/do-women-really-want-equality-4374910f2236#.bwcnrtwrk Do women really want equality? It’s a question I think every one of us needs to ask ourselves. Because frankly I don’t think many of us do, not real equality anyways. Feminists would have…

Mattress company responds to 9/11 offensive ad controversy
Why not have a Martin Luther KING SIZE mattress sale next January instead? You must be a black male and lay down on a mattress – then be photographed as if you are in a coffin first to qualify for a discount (of 1%).
How about full size women get double stuffed, pillow top mattresses? More cushion for the pushin’! They will measure your waist with a measuring tape and put you on a scale to see if you qualify.
Hmmm, I have an Idea…if you show up in drag, then dance around the store, we will give you a QUEEN sized mattress!!
Some ideas just need to stay inside of your head and not on a promotional youtube video. What is WONG with people? #badtaste #poorjudgement

A $1,400,000 Beatdown?
Is what happened here worth $1,400,000?
DETROIT — A white, former Detroit-area police officer was found guilty Thursday of assault and misconduct in the bloody beating of a black driver during a traffic stop that was captured on video.
Wayne County jurors handed down the verdict in the case against William Melendez, who was charged in the January beating of Floyd Dent. Police stopped Dent, 58, in the Detroit suburb of Inkster for disregarding a stop sign, and dashcam video from a police vehicle shows Melendez punching him 16 times in the head.
It wasn’t until after WDIV-TV aired the footage in March that Melendez was fired. Inkster later agreed to pay $1.4 million to Dent, who suffered broken ribs, blood on his brain and other injuries.
The jurors found Melendez guilty of assault with intent to do great bodily harm and of misconduct in office. They cleared him of a charge of assault by strangulation.
Well, I don’t think it was worth it. As long as it doesn’t come out of YOUR pocket, you probably don’t care. Well, you would care if you were getting the beat down!
I’m glad that this happened:
Teams
I often wonder why people still support professional sports teams in this day and age. People say they are fans “ride or die.” People will go down with their team even though they know their team sucks and will suck…
This Generation Is Triggered
Wow, this guy sounds like me, except I don’t use the word “nigga” at all…and would NEVER wear a man bun if I could grow my hair out again.
But yeah, he has a similar mindset as me when it comes to independent thought.
I think it’s fascinating when people have called me a misogynist. I literally laugh out loud when that happens. People really have NO IDEA what they are saying most of the time.
Being called names certainly won’t change how I feel about certain ideologies. I’m brave enough and adult enough to not get my feelings hurt by people I barely know calling me names online. In fact, I’ve been known to have the ability to push back in person and online.
It’s refreshing to see a young person challenge his peers and let them see that people aren’t necessarily always in one box or another. We might be tribal, but we all don’t think alike. We all don’t have views that are consistently liberal or conservative. We tend to straddle the fence more than we think.

Power Concedes Nothing Without A Demand
“Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will. Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them, and these will continue till they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both.”
Frederick Douglass from his August 3, 1857 “West India Emancipation” speech at Canandaigua, New York, on the twenty-third anniversary of the event.
“Don’t WOW me!!” Black Intelligence In 2016 and Beyond
What? Don’t wow me? What kind of nonsense does this woman think she is trying to pull?
It is amazing to see an exchange between someone who isn’t afraid to speak their mind and challenge everything that is assumed. It’s refreshing to see someone not back down to someone on this network.
D.L stood his ground and made her look silly, especially when she tried to get belligerent and raise her voice and tried to shout him down. That is the moment in the video where he said, under his breath, “wow.’ I guess Megyn thought he committed a little micro-aggression and made her feel threatened. Well, that is too bad. This is the big leagues. If she wanted to raise the intensity level, she chose the wrong person to challenge. D.L. showed that he was able to go toe-to-toe with someone who thought could make her opponent look bad on national TV.
You were wrong Megyn. Dead wrong.
I get sick of the media sticking a microphone into the face of the first random black person they see after a tragedy. Ain’t nobody got time for that. I urge the media to begin putting microphones in front of the following people and see how the conversation changes:
DL. Hughley
Eddie Glaude
Henry Louis Gates
Cornel West
Bell Hooks
Thomas Sowell
Shelby Steele
Walter Williams
Neil DeGrasse Tyson
Ta-Nehisi Coates
Keli Goff
Dr. Julianne Malveaux
Jamelle Bouie
Nikole Hanna-Jones
Joy Reid
Jamil Smith
Marc Lamont Hill
James Braxton Peterson
Brittney Cooper
Melissa Harris-Perry
Tavis Smiley
Nelson George
Greg Tate
BARAK HUSSEIN OBAMA
and dozens of others….
I don’t agree with all of these thinkers and I am not aligned with their political views, but I would be more than happy to have them speak to the issues of our times. There are few people on this list who I would love to speak, with and I’m pretty sure we will never see eye to eye. I am quite sure we will find a way to have a productive conversation and find common ground in the end.
We come from a history of black intelligentsia.
Have we forgotten brilliant minds like W.E.B. DuBois, Richard Wright, James Weldon Johnson, Ralph Bunche, Zora Neale Hurston, Martin Luther King and Malcolm X? There are dozens more, but I want to expose my readers to the people that are around right now with the list above. Intelligent black men and women exist. We are here, we are writing, speaking, organizing, and unafraid of speaking up and not backing down from some intellectual jiu-jitsu.
The time has come for people to stand up and not be shouted down but those who feel they are superior simply because they were born with less melanin.
Check out this video. I loved every second where D.L. refused to go along with the script and showed Megyn that she couldn’t “out-FOX” him. Good job D.L!
